Around the World: I'm on a Pride and Prejudice roll

Well today we went out to Chesterfield to visit Haddon Hall and Hardwick Hall. They are both very very old mansion homes.
Haddon Hall was very cool. It was mainly in the tudor style and interesting to see. I loeved all the old rooms. But the best part of the whole house was that parts of Pride and Prejudice (with Keira Knightly) were filmed here! Parts of Princess Bride were filmed here too. In P&P when they are at the "Rose and Crown" they are really at Haddon Hall in the Banqueting hall. We went to that room and saw where Lizzy's aunt and uncle were eating dinner and where she hid behind the curtain in that room. I even took a picture to be just like her! haha. And then then when Lizzy's sister runs away and she is reading the letter to her aunt and uncle and mr. darcy, I got to sit on the bench where mr. darcy is sitting! I love that movie way too much.
Then we went to Hardwick Hall. It was huge! The stairways were very cool. I liked the lanterns too. And it was designed by Elizabeth of shrewsbury and she puts her initials everywhere. her old house is right next to the one she built. The old one is completely in ruins, but it looks amazing! the main house was really cool too. So many great details.
