Bedknobs and Broomsticks

I have sunshine in my soul today! And everywhere else. It was actually nice today! Which was gladly welcomed. I'm sick of Antarctica!
Well we went to two museums today. First we visited Sir John Soane's home which has been made into a museum. He was an architect that just collected things his whole life. He collected from Rome and Greece and has tons of sculptures and pieces of buildings. He even has pieces from the Parthenon. And all this stuff was just packed into this little house. It was incredible how many artifacts he had. The architecture of his house was very cool too.
Then we went to the British Museum. There was way way way too much to try to see! It's huge with a ton of amazing stuff. Some of the coolest things we saw were there was a part of the beard of the Great Sphinx in Egypt, and Cleopatra. We also got to see the Rosetta Stone. It's huge! And the writing is tiny tiny. So I really liked that.
Later we left the museum and then we went off to find Covent Garden. It took us awhile to find it... haha! but we got to one side of it and there was some great shopping. Then for the best part of the day was that we went to Notting Hill and Portobello Road. When ever I say it I always think of Bedknobs and Broomsticks the movie. They sing a song about Portobello Road and so now I have actually been there! It is just a huge market all down the street. It was so much fun and I got a super cute scarf! Then we actually got home early for once. So it was nice to just sit around and relax. I had to get some sketches done and post all my pictures. So it was a pretty neat day.
