On this wonderful Saturday we started out to China town. Holy moly that place is carzy! It is packed with people and little asian ladies trying to pull you into their shops and wanting you to look at purses and watches. I don't want to! Leave me alone! Ya- not a fan of China town.
But then China town crosses over into Little Italy. Yay! I love love love Little Italy. I could go back there everyday. It reminded me of real Italy. I loved all the cafes and pizza places. Here we went to Lombardi's for lunch. It is one of the oldest pizza places there. And it was delicious! We got a pizza that was half pepperoni and mushrooms, then half meatballs and ricotta cheese. The meatball side was incredible! Aaahhh!! I love Italy!
Then we headed off to the Brooklyn Bridge. It was very awesome to see. All of the cables were fascinating. It was packed with people too. And all of the bikers get so mad at people! They are whistling and ringing their bells at people to get out of their way. It's pretty funny to watch.
Since we were so close to ground zero we decided to head over there. We had to do this big sign up thing and create an account to get these tickets to get into the 9/11 Memorial. We had to wind all the way around the site and go through security. It was pretty intense. Then we got in and it was pretty awesome. There are 2 large pools with 30 ft waterfalls that are placed where the 2 World Trade towers stood. It was very beautiful.
